What identity documents are required for applying for inheritance property transfer?

(1) If the applicant has acquired foreign citizenship, the following should be provided:

• The applicant's foreign passport or other proof of nationality (original passport or a tri-certification of the passport copy by a consulate abroad);
• The applicant's resident ID card or other valid identity proof from the country of residence (original driver's license, original green card, or tri-certification of corresponding documents by a consulate abroad);
• Proof of the applicant's settlement in that country, certified by the Chinese embassy or consulate abroad (original driver's license, original green card, or tri-certification of corresponding documents by a consulate abroad).

(2) If the applicant is a resident of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region or the Macao Special Administrative Region, the following should be provided:

• Hong Kong or Macao (Permanent) Resident Identity Card or other valid identity proof;
• Home Visit Permit or Special Administrative Region passport.

(3) If the applicant is a resident of the Taiwan region, the following should be provided:

• Taiwan region Resident Identity Card or other valid identity proof of residence in Taiwan;
• Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents or other entry-exit document.
