Traveling to Japan generally requires a Temporary Visitor Visa. However, the Temporary Visitor Visa issued in the U.S. still grants a validity period of 3 months (single entry) / 6 months (multiple entries), starting from the date of issuance (e.g., a single-entry visa issued on November 1 is valid until January 31).
II. Document Checklist:
- Application form (name must be written in both Chinese Pinyin and Chinese characters)
- Passport and copy of the first page
- Copy of U.S. visa page (though not explicitly stated on the official website, it is usually copied during the interview)
- Original I-20/I-797 (though not explicitly stated on the official website, it is usually copied during the interview)
- 2-inch square photo (same as for U.S. visa) glued onto the application form
- Round-trip flight confirmation order (ticket issuance not required)
