Q2 Visa Application Document Checklist:
- Passport:
- Submit the original passport valid for more than 6 months with blank visa pages, and one photocopy of the passport's photo/information page.
- Visa Application Form and Photo:
- Complete one copy of the "Visa Application Form of the People's Republic of China" (V2013) and attach one recent (within the last 6 months) color passport photo with a full front view and no headwear, pasted onto the application form.
- Proof of Legal Stay or Residence (for non-U.S. citizens):
- Provide original and photocopy of valid proof or visa for legal stay, residence, work, or study in the country of current residence.
- Previous Chinese Passport or Chinese Visa (for former Chinese citizens who have acquired foreign citizenship):
- For first-time China visa applicants, submit the original previous Chinese passport and a photocopy of its photo/information page. If applying with a newly issued foreign passport after having obtained a Chinese visa before, submit photocopies of the previous foreign passport's photo/information page and the previous Chinese visa. If the name on the foreign passport differs from that on the previous Chinese passport/visa, also provide official documentation proving the name change.
- Visa Application for U.S.-born Children of Chinese Descent:
- Provide the child's original birth certificate and a photocopy, original passports and photocopies of both parents' foreign permanent residency documents, and original and photocopies of travel documents used for entry and exit (if applicable).
- Invitation Letter:
- An invitation letter issued by a Chinese citizen residing in China or a foreign citizen with Chinese permanent residency, containing the invitee's personal information, visit details, and inviter's information. Additionally, provide a photocopy of the inviter's Chinese ID card (front and back) or photocopies of the foreign inviter's passport and permanent residency permit.
